Murphy should give his ring to Scott James. He deserves both

An insurance pick strip will do for now, but let's get it in the end zone.

Back to back trips inside the five yardline and canβt put it in the end zone.
This offense stinks.

How many teams have had a pick six, a pick/touchback and a strip/pick all in the second half...in November?

Does HC count national tournament post season games when they calculate career scoring totals in BB? Actually yes, because Ms. Kiel reached 1000 in an NCAA game, so Dom should have next week to reach 1000 yards also if he needs it.

It would be very appropriate for the defense to earn a shutout on the final regular season game. They have carried us and deserve it.

Post by DFW HOYA on Nov 23, 2019 14:56:05 GMT -5
Disagree DFW the Hoyas issue for depth remains admissions. I have had a conversation with the President, his leadership and Admissions about the problem. There is solid financial aid for those that need it along with their long commitment to helping the larger population of the underserved. the coaching staff has a tough job for now, but that might change as they begin to relax admission requirements for sports other than hoops With an outcome that was never in doubt, this thought. Georgetown has one winning season in this century and has a combined PL record of 23 wins in 115 games. That's no accident. Games like this are ample evidence that Georgetown has no depth because of how they are allowed to recruit. Georgetown's AI is approx. 216. A full 75% of its admissions pool has an SAT of 1420 or higher (25 percent are above 1560). That's over 200 points above the SAT range at Bucknell, Fordham, Lafayette, and Lehigh. 200 points! In other words, the medium and high band kids at these schools aren't even admittable at Georgetown thanks to the AI. The comparable Ivy programs at that level allows those schools to buy out tuition altogether, which Georgetown can't afford to do. So if Sgarlata was able to recruit a player with a 1450 SAT, that can afford to go there, that didn't take a full ride elsewhere in the PL, that didn't get a beter deal in the Ivy, and actually wants to play there, good for him. But there aren't enough of these types to fill out the second and third string, so when players get hurt, you see a lot of kids who weren't recruited to Georgetown to play football, but merely had the AI to fill the gap. That's not a winning formula to compete and the Patriot League has no interest in addressing it. And if you doubt it, ask yourself why Georgetown hasn't placed a single all-PL player on offense since joining the league 18 years ago. None. Impact players aren't sitting around with a 1470 SAT. And they're not coming to Georgetown as long as they remain in the Patriot League under these rules. Which means more losing seasons indefinitely.
