Only that the blowing up of the men's team this past year was unsettling and my belief that you don't have to blow up a team to improve it if you are a good coach. I should have also said that my expectations for both teams are such that a .500 season could well include improving the team. For the men, obviously it would be an improvement and for the women the team could also be much improved despite a worse record because of losing the five seniors. I am just rooting for no defections from the women's team.

I think Tim that as I mentioned in another thread, I assume MM is well aware of any local players as she has recruited in the same areas and often for some of the same kids, Gogolin is one example. Thanks, you're absolutely correct. The other kids came from competing schools and there's at least one girl in that league (Beech or Beach) worth looking at.

That would be great!
I wonder how many schollies they will use for this class. Only 2 seniors & with the commits of Huber & Berger those slots are filled, but a possible 3 spots available since only 12 scholarship players on the roster, it will be interesting how many, if any, more they recruit. I think as a minimum they need at least 1 more big.

At this time there would be 10 schollie upperclass players for 21-22 season (two srs graduating from this year's team) - i believe in the past we have had up to 14 schollie players which would mean they possibly have two more spots to fill

Don't know what, if any, limitations they have scholarships, I agree, at least the best as I recall, they have never used more than 14, but could use up to 15. I know BG liked to keep his roster in the 12/13 range, don't know MM's preference, but would think she would like bring in her own players sooner than later. One thing I know, they need more help up front.

One rumor I heard was that the MIAA is going to recommend basketball be 4 on 4 this year. The games w/one or two good player are going to be ugly, especially on the girls side. Those kids will dominate the game totally.

If someone on the court has Covid, others are getting it regardless of whether it’s 4 on 4 or 5 on 5.
