Maybe a case of being "Not Ready for Primetime" by our Saders on the Jersey Shore yesterday. Taking nothing away from a great PL Title winning season. Guys played hard and never quit and will no doubt build on this season's success moving forward.
A rough, rough day here for the prognosticators who wanted to venture outside the PL. Only a couple of guys ovah .500, with Deep Purple winning the week at 6-2. Let's see how we fare this weekend as the top 8 seeded teams host yesterday's winnahs.

This week should be a bit easier...most of the top 8 seeds are probably decent favorites....I have definitely become a Sacramento St from here on in.

Looks like a barn-burner brewing between Monmouth and JMU. Dukes with a 21-14 leader with 4:21 left 1Q. Monmouth has scored on a long run by Guerrero on the first play from scrimmage and a kickoff return TD.

Now 52-21 JMU. Long way to go if we want to be competitive with the biggest dogs in the FCS.

JMU 623 yards total offense, 90 plays, 42:44 time of possession.
As HC92 noted, 'long way to go before HC competes with the big dogs.'
Albany trailing badly.

And Monmouth finished with 93 rushing yards. They got 93 on the first play from scrimmage, 0 the rest of the way. JMU also got 36 first downs and did not punt the entire game. They were 9-13 on 3rd down 2-2 on 4th down. But at least it was fun for most of the first half. Hawks ran out of gas.

JMU pushing hard to go to D 1-looking for the right conference They've been FBS-ready for 5-10 years. They are just looking for the right fit. Sun Belt, CUSA and the MAC would all take JMU tomorrow. Speaking of the MAC, I actually watched some of the Miami (OH)-Central Michigan game (went back and forth between that, Big 12 and JMU-MU before it got ugly). Was fun to watch but James Madison and North Dakota State would KILL those teams. Its almost worth asking why that league is still FBS. Miami, who won the title, lost to Ohio State 76-5. MAC would be a great league to have in FCS IMO. If I were those schools, I would probably find the chance to play for a national title more compelling than having a ceiling of the Motor City or GMAC Bowl.

These playoff games are basically drawing flies across the country....majority of them in both rounds have been blowouts....it's nearly preordained to be a JMU-NDSU final....it's really a very unappealing format...Ivies are right to avoid them imo.
