I (IMHO) have to believe this game will be won or lost in the paint. Canisius pushes the ball inside top their big men and we will see how well HC counters that. Perhaps a zone defense - if only to see how it works for our Crusaders.
Whether or not Nelson prefers to play m2m, almost every team needs to know how to play some zone. No better recent example than the PL semi-finals in 2014 - Holy Cross led American (playing m2m), 28-22 at the half, and ended up losing by 11 when AU switched to a zone in the second stanza. It was the beginning of the end for Milan Brown.
As noted above, Canisius doesn't take a lot of threes, and shoots them poorly. By contrast, they are a very good two-point shooting team (52%) and offensive rebounding team. If there was ever a game to play a zone to protect the interior, this would be it.
The city of Buffalo is some distance (SE as I remember it) from Niagra Falls. They could, however, tour the destroyer the USS Sullivans which is tied up there. It is named for the 5 sailors - all brothers - who died on one ship in WWII. That was the reason for today';s military rules separating siblings in combat.
I have driven there a number of times, then turned west and headed to King's College of the University of Western Ontario in London. To get from Buffalo (city center) to the Falls, is about a 45 minute drive...longer if you stay on the US side of the border.
