All 4 home teams prevailed in mainly defensive slog (yes, slog) fests. NDSU looked human/beatable only winning 9-3, not scoring a TD. The East still alive with JMU prevailing 17-0 ovah a toothless, UNI offense.
Few guys went 4-0: hcnation, cruskater31, efg and CHC8485....gift certificate for a Bison burgah of your choice in Fargo next time you're there to all. Hearty select group hanging in there til the bitter end but we have had some attrition as the playoffs progress.
Semifinals (both Sat.)
Weber St at JMU Montana St at NDSU
Standings:

My grandmother was born and raised in Fargo and her father was a prominent Fargo business owner and very active in the Fargo community. Might be time to visit the old homestead if I have a Bison burger waiting for me!

JMU NDSU hc87 called this Frisco match-up sometime around Memorial Day. While I appreciate the shout out, it wasn't too much of a stretch call. I will say this, NDSU looked somewhat mortal yesterday....homefield is so big in these games, hard not to see that matchup next month.

#2 seed JMU 9, who handily beat Monmouth, who handily beat Holy Cross, looks to be handily beating #3 seed Weber State.
We have a ways to go to get to this level. Assuming JMU wins, it will be interesting to see how they do against NDSU.

So, here is JMU's "trick" for success . . . . . a bunch of transfers from Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and a bunch of other FBS teams.

Watching JMU we are an athletic QB and depth on the DL or shifting to a traditional 4-3-3 away from being way more competitive at the higher levels of FCS

Yes, the QBs for JMU and NDSU are amazing and presumably have great shots for the NFL.
Think we can get a few P5 school transfers? (I joke)

So, here is JMU's "trick" for success . . . . . a bunch of transfers from Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and a bunch of other FBS teams. Delaware was famous for utilizing this practice for many years. I never liked the rule that FBS => FCS transfers don't have to sit out. Division I is Division I. A non-grad basketball transfer from Kentucky to Bryant would have to sit out. So should a Maryland => JMU football transfer IMO. Speaking specifically about this year's JMU team who I've been watching a little bit these playoffs, one of their tight ends is actually a transfer UP from D-II. Indiana (PA) I think.
