Congrats to Georgetown on winning the 2019 men's D.1 soccer championship last night with PK win over UVA - unusual regulation score of 3-3 and after 2 ot's they went to PK's no one missed through six rounds until UVA missed in the bottom of the 7th to give the Hoyas the win - two great academic institutions with legit student-athletes across the board - HC should be able to field much better olympic sport squads (and I'm not talking about being national championship caliber either)

PKs are a terrible way to lose, or even win, a National Championship There has to be a better alternative. I feel esp for the UVA keeper who gave up the winning PK, and also the UVA player who missed his PK. They will not soon forget.

I watched much of the second half, but not the OT. Hard fought match. UVa had a forward who was built like a TE.
Announcers commented more than once that GU was substituting liberally, and UVa hardly at all. Made the point that the semi's were on Friday, so little opportunity for rest.
Quality of the soccer was much higher than I've seen on Stadium broadcasts from top of Mt. St. James.
Congrats to the Hoyas. The number of schools fielding M's soccer teams in Div I must be over 250, so quite the accomplishment.
