Not surprised about Alexander (RB), Ebo (DL) and Cozier (WR). I am somewhat surprised about Johnson (DB). I would have figured that Riley was the top DB in the class. Johnson is somewhat of a mystery; committed early and nothing much seen about other offers. Nice to see him get this distinction.

I think Miles Alexander could be a really good one so it's good to see him mentioned in the Telegram article. Who would ever have guessed that we'd have two running backs from Overland Park, Kansas (Kansas City suburb): Gabe Guild and Miles Alexander. Here is the link to MA's high school highlights- www.hudl.com/athlete/1489984/miles-alexanderBy the way-you heard it here first--Miles's parents are big fans of jazz and so they named their son after the great Miles Davis

Knowing that it is very early Not really sure how to answer this, as I think there is really insufficient information to give a reasoned answer. I do believe we got two very good OLs in Mattingly and Daurelle, but OLs need time to grow and develop. I think Conners and Flovin have real potential at LB, and Pirwitz looks like a great TE. I am intrigued by each of the Pennsylvania and Georgia rookies and I have high hopes that each of them will emerge as major contributors to future success. But who knows -- one of the other freshmen may turn out to be the star of the class.

Just noticed how early the regular season ends--11/12 at Yankee Stadium. A quick look through the archives reveals that in the 120 year history of HC football, the only seasons that ended earlier were 2006 (11/11) and the 1969 hepatitis shortened campaign--10/4. Let's hope we make the playoffs and compete well into December.
