Hopefully, HC can look better against Stetson to get ready for the PL.

Just sloppy, sloppy play.

This seems to be a Jekyll and Hyde team. 3rd quarter looked solid, 4th quarter the entire team disappeared perhaps excepting Manis. Lose 80-60. Ugh!

Perhaps thin bench HC got pooped at the end. Faulkner's return will help greatly. Announcer said she was available today if needed so perhaps she can return for league play.

Well, this certainly didn't help Anne cause w/ Blossom in the House. Out scored 24-6 in the fourth to lose 80-60. Flat out embarrassing.

Hmm, sorta think she was needed. Agree, but perhaps an abundance of caution is keeping her out until league play. The subs at the end were no more sure handed than the starters today so she is needed.

This must be the Disney world trip he promised his kids when he got the job. And we lose four of today's starters to graduation so the future is now for AM and the team.

Assume you were kidding about MB kids' trip to Disney World. He already said publicly that he took them shortly after getting the job.
While I didn't watch the entire game, I saw pretty much the 2nd half. While the passing was lackadaisical the entire time I watched, it seemed worse in the 4th quarter and just a lot of bad judgement on both shooting and passing and rebounding disappeared. One player, in particular, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Loose balls went the Osprey way. Pretty much a total collapse in the 4th quarter for whatever the reason.
I am not aware that the Ospreys are some powerhouse team.

Why embarrassing? She didn't miss any bunnies or pass the ball to NF.

The Ospreys have lost to some strong opponents, but they had a strong schedule and just got two injured players back. They did seem to get stronger each quarter, as the announcers posited out. In the 3rd Q, when HC had a 7 point lead, but then went stone cold, it was clearly the turning point for HC.

23 second half points.
Manis should get a shot on every possession

NF is not a powerhouse, they are playing their crosstown rival, an NAIA school next. NF is quick and played hard all game, however. Color analyst said they were more athletic than HC.

Not one HC guard can make an off the dribble jump shot or defend opponents who can. This is one of the big reasons, together with way too many TOs and our bigs missing too many "bunnies", that we lost to URI, UMass and NF.

In this entire thread, only a single mention of....... I guess she's immune. I can read a box score, pretty sure who you are talking about. A Carmody-esque effort on the boards, 21-28....and turnovers were 18-13. Not a good combo.

"Carmody-esque" ...did Carmody ever play for the women? ...or coach them

When I started there was a Dean of Men (Dean McClain?) to handle discipline as opposed to the Academic and Class Deans. When women arrived the Dean of Men monicker got folded into Dean of Students iirc. It was not generally as positive to be on a list in the Dean of Men's office as it was to be on an Academic Dean's List. ☺️
Getting back to the assumed player, she did a good job battling NF's big bulky center for rebounds. I also have noticed her make steady improvement in her basketball skills over four years so I am a fan. She doesn't have elite skills like Lauren Manis or Avery but is a plugger imo.

"Carmody-esque" ...did Carmody ever play for the women? ...or coach them Irrelevant. timholycross made his point quite well. The 18 turnovers were terrible, but NF only out-rebounded HC by TWO rebounds (36-38). Tim said they were 21-28 but I'm not sure what those numbers mean - it wasn't explained. How does an unexplained number mean anything, let alone explain it quite well? Taking a cheap shot at a former men's coach is not needed here. If you believe Tim "made his point well" (which he normally does), what - in your opinion - was his point here?

the 21-28 was the the total of DRBs, HC out rebounded them on the offensive side 15-10.

I don't know what game you were watching. First of all, NF's center, Jazz Bond, is a 6'4" stringbean, not "big bulky." HC's Center: 22 mins, 3 pts, 7 rebs, 3 tos NF's Center: 29 mins, 15 pts, 6 rebs, 1 to

the 21-28 was the the total of DRBs, HC out rebounded them on the offensive side 15-10. Must have read it wrong, in which case I wouldn't have described the rebounding so negatively. No question Swords has to play better ...no other big is either healthy or has the confidence of the coaching staff....or both. No one else over 6 feet got a minute of action off the bench save for a couple in garbage time.
