Here's a popular forum for lax fans - and the HC thread which has a few posts from fall ball - suppose our biggest fans may be posting with impressions. First game in this Saturday at Merrimack which has transitioned into D.1 very well from what I have observed fanlax.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=290&t=1244&start=40

The difference between the top of D-2 and the low end of D-1 is minimal at best. Charlie Bertrand is likely going to have a big game on Saturday for MC.

One Frosh to keep an eye on is Jayce Lambert. Heard he may be starting middie.

HC wins 13-12. Very good win as a D.2 national champ team is very much as good as the middle of D.1

Led early and had to hold off a late Merrimack rally. A win is a win and that’s a good one.

Would love B Foleys take. I didn’t see the game so no comment. But PC beat them this past weekend, 6-4. I am shooting the UVM and Holy Cross game this upcoming Saturday

home opener today vs. UVM - windchill at gametime will be 16 degrees - I don't understand why they can't postpone this game until tmro when temps will be about 15 degrees higher I woudn't want to be a sub standing on the sidelines for 2 + hours - and I do not believe either team goes into locker rooms at halftime given where the field is located - that situation should be rectified somehow

Foles you're holding out on us...break down the win over a UVM team that beat Albany and lost by a goal to UMBC in AE Championship last year. My guess: Cats lost all their good players and HC got lucky?

My guess: Cats lost all their good players and HC got lucky? I have no clue how UVM lost that game...Season opener for UVM vs Holy Cross being on their third game. Holy Cross went 16-21 on clears while every other stat was pretty much even. It looked like to me that UVM took the game for granted but America East did go 0-7 yesterday in non-conference play.

My guess: Cats lost all their good players and HC got lucky? I don't think this was any big surprise. Massey, for example, had HC as the favorite. True, Vermont did beat those two teams last year - but both were weak. Albany ranked #46 and UMBC #47. Vermont ended up #49. Vermont's biggest plus is that they started a lot of young players last year.
