Massey has Colgate as a 4 point favorite (71-67) with a 57 % chance for the win at home.
The Raiders are currently 14-6 (6-3 in the PL).
This point spread was a surprise to me, specially after Colgate lost at Lafayette last night (39-55).

I think a Cross must have fallen on Mr. Massey's head when he was young.😋

Much better 2qtr - down 26-24 at the half. Manis quiet with 2 pts on 1 of 8 shooting

1 of 8 for Manis is worse than simply "quiet." In any case, HC is back into thins after 4 point first quarter. That was unreal.

"It's going to be a hell of a story!" - Julian Edelman when Pats were down 28-3 in the SB.
Avery is our Julian Edelman.

Down 54-41 after 3. Manis a total non factor - she’s not the POY imo Swords easily the tallest player on the court and constantly missing bunnies Need a huge 4th on the road

Jumping Jehozafats! HC men lead CU late in the game. I don't get CBS sports network, but let's make it a sweep and give Colgate a thorough brushing.

Not right where we wanted em 🙂, but still a squad that could make a run in the PLT.

Very much doubt that - we are not athletic enough at either end of the court - lost by 11 today which is a fair reflection on how the game went - was hoping to see Cross play better with the minutes she’s been getting but so far she looks like another very average recruit
Coach Mac still has a chance to turn this around but if not I think she should get her resume ready

LM was 1-10 for two points, five fouls, 24 minutes. Swords had four fouls. Team has little depth. Cross for 15 minutes had zero points, four fouls, three turnovers, three assists.

Doesn't sound completely fair. I wonder if today's poor play was effected at all by the announcement of the BG suit going to Discovery and the players and/or coaches worried if they will get deposed? I give AM some benefit of the doubt. The decision whether or not to resolve the BG suit and whether or not to backfill the absent coaching position is entirely up to HC administration, but the burden is shared by AM and the team. Plus she has the best coaching w/l record of any team on campus except FB.

There would be plenty of highly qualified applicants if the kid opened up - with or without coach AM next year looks bleak with labarbera the only legit D.1 talent on the team and a host of new recruits not highly recruited - a complete overhaul is required

I am sure the underclass players feel great that you see them as "illegitimate." (What else if they are not "legitimate" D1 players?

I’ve seen 3 of the new recruits- not Power Cassidy- play on numerous times on the AAU circuit and they are ALL D1 worthy players. They all committed to Holy Cross very early in the process. If they would have stuck it out, each would have received at least another 6 offers per. If they were on this HC roster they might have pulled out another 4 wins on the season including today.

The good news for all of the incoming freshmen is they may have more than ample opportunity to get serious mins next year. If Demski & Murphy are not fully recovered by the beginning of the season, Allen will likely be a starter by default. I do expect they are hoping to add a big to net year's class.

Too many what I call "losing" plays down the stretch. Critical rebound when Colgate had to throw up a desparation shot- not grabbed. Smith rushes the ball down the court and dribbles it off her foot, leading to a breakaway layup down the other end. Player mistakes- not bad coaching. Unless someone else ought to be getting the minutes, which is not the case.
My opinion: if AM is responsible for who's been brought in to play, sayonara. If it's BG, then I'd give her a shot.
I wonder if she was saddled with the MIA Ms. Parks because of what transpired between Ms. MIA and BG.

Unknown and obviously the remaining coaches and players are carrying the burden of keeping the reason for the absence secret. Not a burden that's easily measurable, but one that shouldn't exist.
