There's an anomaly; we lost to BU twice and are ahead of them and defeated Lehigh twice and are behind them.

Yup, that is correct. I have learned to never try to use common sense when evaluatuingragting systems. How about our blow out of Boston College (currently ranked almost 100 places above us)?

All the good systems are very rational if you look at all the games, not just a couple. Lehigh beat Boston U by 17 points to add another data point. To add a few more, HC lost to Army - and Boston College beat #19 Florida State recently and also beat Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, and Wake recently. BC also beat Boston U by 31 points. BC's Joanna Bernabei-McNamee is putting herself in position to get COY votes, as she has BC at 7-6 in the ACC (4-1 the past 17 days) after almost a decade of complete futility.

PL is six spots away from cracking the top 100. Will we sneak in this year?

PL is six spots away from cracking the top 100. Will we sneak in this year? Bucknell was #82 last year, American was #83 in 2018, Bucknell was #96 in 2017, Army was #64 in 2016, and American was #80 in 2015 and #98 in 2014 - so there is a good streak of top 100 placers. Also a number of others who came close. Unfortunately Bucknell has not been as good since starting PG Marly Walls tore her ACL at Holy Cross a few weeks ago - so I would be surprised if they finish in the top 100. But it is certainly possible. At their best this year, they ranked 71st. Bison were missing starting center Tessa Brugler and a key reserve due to the flu Saturday. Not sure if they will play vs HC Wednesday.

You would like to think the PLT winner could slip in if other teams near 100 lose in their tourneys, but someone would have to start an unbeaten streak about now.

You would like to think the PLT winner could slip in if other teams near 100 lose in their tourneys, but someone would have to start an unbeaten streak about now. Massey places a huge weight on recent performance - more than most ratings - so if Bucknell were to run the table through the PLT, they would easily make the top 90. But I don't expect that to happen.
