Massey makes Bucknell a 10 point favorite (65-55) with an 81% chance for the win.
The Bison are currently 18-6 and beat HC by 11 (51-40) in Worcester. HC could not generate any offense. Wednesday (6:00 pm) could be a good indicator of how HC will do in the PLT.

The Bison will over compensate to contain Manis after she went off for a career high against Lafayette, which will allow Avery to go off to compensate for her donut against the Leopards. Crusaders by three.

I hope our ladies remember the last time they played in Lewisburg, a 66-31 thrashing applied by bucknell in last seasons playoffs.

Unlike any other game I've watched, I got bad vibes matchup-wise against the Bison. I hope HC was just having a bad night and they give them a competitive ballgame at the very least.

Two fouls on Ellie Mack. Could be key. Keep feeding Manis and Swords.

BU 28-24 at the half as Mack hits a 3 at the buzzer

Should I get a tetanus shot after I pull Ellie Mack's half ending dagger out of my back? HC can come back and win this game, two fouls on Mack and Manis. Controlled aggression in the second half please.

Down 42-33 at start of 4th qtr. we miss labarbera’s offense - she’s 2 of 9 from the field - our offense is inept

It looks like Bucknell practiced how to use Lauren Manis' aggression against her by drawing charges. Disappointing game all around.

I’d be very surprised if this team has a late season - playoff run in them - did not show up tonight and lost by 15, 63-48. Our two leading scorers had tough nights - Manis 6 of 17 fg and Avery 3 of 11 fg and we were badly out rebounded

Final margin actually 18, 63-45. Ugh ! Team is playing as if they know coach Mac is not coming back - uninspired

I was surprised as time ticked away they kept passing to try to get a better shot. A 20% better look that takes 15 seconds to find with two minutes left down by 11 is a bad bet because there is a chance of a turnover and 15 seconds is 1/8 of the time left.
Pray for the three ball to return.

Maybe Coach Mac is viewed as taking one for the school by coaching short handed.

Sometimes the other team is just better. A team that didn't care about the coach would have shut it down a week ago down 24...and didn't. Then they followed that up with a nice effort at Lehigh.

I saw the team miss shots, commit turnovers, but I also saw Lauren Manis take out a couple of chairs on the opponents bench saving a loose ball and jumping right up and sprinting back up the court.
I'd like to see Lauren and the other seniors pick up some hardware after four years of hard work and having to deal with immature behavior by some of the adults paid to guide them.
There hasn't been a hint of controversy from any of the players and they share a gym with the never a dull moment men's team.
If the team falls short of a PL championship, but their record is good enough to be invited to one of the minor post season tourneys, I hope they choose to play in it and ADMB chooses to pay for it if it is a pay to play arrangement. If the money can be found for scholarships for men's players in the stands, I hope it can be found for players who want to represent Holy Cross on the court.
Plus, I'd like to see Lauren move up the career stat lists as high as she can go.

Not the first hour, quite frankly. Why the hell was the game at 6 and not 7? Early bird special in Lewisburg?

If the money can be found for scholarships for men's players in the stands, I hope it can be found for players who want to represent Holy Cross on the court. There are two "minor" postseason events: the NIT and the WBI. There is only one slim chance for HC to get into the NIT. That is for HC to run the table for the rest of the regular season while all the teams in front of them stumble. If they somehow managed to end up with the 2 seed (unlikely) and Bucknell won the tournament, then HC would get an automatic bid. Otherwise there is no chance for a spot in the NIT. The WBI is a very different situation. It is a mediocre tournament and is pay-to-play. Most teams in recent years have shown no interest, so they have invited a large number of very mediocre teams. If HC plays fairly well the rest of the season and were willing to put up the money, they very likely would get into this event - where they would face a lot of teams ranked between 150 and 225. Last year's WBI championship game featured Appalachian State (18-14 prior to the tournament) and North Texas (15-15 prior to the tournament). Both were ranked worse than #150 by Massey.

Not the first hour, quite frankly. Why the hell was the game at 6 and not 7? Early bird special in Lewisburg? A lot of women's teams have found they draw better with 6 PM starts. Bucknell has started games at that time for several years. In the PL, Bucknell, Loyola, Boston U, Army, and maybe others all start at 6 PM. A number of teams in other conferences, such as the Ivy League, also use that start time. In addition to helping attendance, the earlier start time is appreciated by the visiting team since they get an early start for their bus ride home.

The starting times for women’s games during the week were moved to a 6:00 PM for a number of games this year. The team benefits that it arrives earlier back at HC in order to attend class on Thursday. The solution to mitigate missed classes would be a Friday, Sunday schedule for league games.

The team benefits that it arrives earlier back at HC in order to attend class on Thursday. The solution to mitigate missed classes would be a Friday, Sunday schedule for league games. Bucknell in 2016-17 moved the start time for all evening games to 6 PM. Some of the other PL teams have had the earlier start time for a few years as well. Note that this was done for all games - not to help out HC - although the visiting teams all get some benefit.
