Need a quick answer before Dean Wormer moves this to the Black Hole of Crossports (“General Discussion”). Going to Boston with my son today. Need a lunch spot in Worcester. Is the Boynton good? Others?

Boynton is fine. Peppercorn's is nice. Schawarma Palace and El-Basha also on Park Ave., good for Middle-Eastern cuisine, not pricey.

Can't go wrong with the Boynton, then, or the brew pubs SoV noted. Boynton more of a family place.

Boynton will be fine. Parking stinks. Has normal teenager food and less bar element if you're upstairs in the dining room.
For a change of pace, I'd take the him to the Boulevard Diner on Shrewsbury St. Plenty of teenager food options. Less fancy, but less expensive. No bar feel for the kid

All the above are good suggestions... if you are looking for something quick and easy and like hot dogs... Coney Island would work! Also, it is right around the corner from the new Polar Park being built. Went by there last week and was surprised at how much construction has been done!

For me it would have to be the Miss Worcester Diner to recall the days at HC. The Parkway (still there?) or Boulevard would also work well.
Edit: I just checked and the Parkway is in business and is still owner by the Evangelista family so you may still be able to get the same meatball sandwich

"Ain't no place finer than the Boulevard Diner!" Tell Brenda that Rob Mack and the boys from '08 sent ya.

Went to Brew City. They forgot my son’s food so it was FREE! Good times. Thanks to all for the recommendations.

I guess they didn't expect the youngster to be ordering foie gras

They have opened a restaurant with a full liquor license. If you go at dinner time the diner portion is closed and you're in the restaurant

Checks all boxes -- beers with the guys, parents weekend, solid date spot, good place to watch more games after taking in the day's action at Fitton or Hart, The 99 was also a favorite of mine. Been run by the same GM since I was in college.

Breeds has good sandwiches and for the best meatball sandwich in town, try Vincent's which is just off Franklin St. I believe it is on Suffolk St.
