May his soul rest in peace and his loved ones and comrades be able to deal with this loss and their pain lessen.

Very sad indeed and may he RIP. Prayers offered for his soul, his family and both the Navy and Prep communities. Saw him play at Prep and he was a terrific competitor.

In an article on Forney and his being an offensive stalwart on the 2019 Navy team, the 2019 Navy team achieved the second greatest season-to-season turnaround in the history of FBS: 3-10 in 2018, 11-2 in 2019. (Here's hoping HC men's hoops can accomplish something similar in 20-21.)
Forney's recruiting profile when he committed to Navy had him at 6'3" and 310 lbs., about what he weighed during his senior season at Annapolis. He apparently was 20-25 pounds heavier during his junior year, which slowed him down. I wonder whether he was trying to shed the pounds given that his football career was over.

Dean, can you move this to football thread?
I am sure more posters would like to read about the life and accomplishments of this young man. May he rest in peace -- and we thank him for his service.
