Massey makes the women a 12 point favorite (75-63) with an 86% chance for the win. In their last meeting, HC lost by 13 at Army (61-48). The women really need to get back on track by winning this game...right now!

The women really need to get back on track by 2inning this game...right now Agree that this is a must win but HC lost at Army by the above score; their most ignominious loss of the year.

To continue a complaint from the men's thread, is Faulkner's picture still on a milk carton? Or will another game pass with her not even on the bench and nothing mentioned by anyone?

When you contacted the coach, what did she have to say about that?

Respecfully submitted. Not being a cynic.
Are the game articles are so poor (or submitted by HC) that the coach is never asked? The reply doesn't have to be anything violating anything confidential: Illness, injury, something equally benign.
It's not like we're asking about why someone plays or someone doesn't play or even why a coach vanished after a couple games (I think we can all guess that is in some way or another a carryover from last year). The kid is a good player, represents the College well. Now she's disappeared when it matters most; not only that, but it's probably the last time the team will be a "contendah" for quite a while.

One issue with the Worcester T&G and perhaps other papers owned by one of the large national chains is not only has the amount of news covered been reduced because of reduced staff, the actual amount of news per news article has been reduced. Even if it is a controversial subject that engages the community, the logical probing questions and follow-up questions to statements made by public officials or other subjects of the article are often not asked by the reporter but are instead asked, sometimes for pages (of cyber space not newsprint) in the online comments section.
I have come to think that newsprint and ink and staff time has to be rationed (not for paying ads, those pay for themselves) but there is no or hardly any additional cost for online comments from paying subscribers to go on and on for days. How does this relate to HC Sports? Unfortunately the community does not use the online comment feature to comment on, discuss or ask probing questions about HC Sports. The interest just isn't there like it is for other issues.
Perhaps there were a few comments about BG, I don't recall, but that would be an exception.

When you contacted the coach, what did she have to say about that? A tape of Sgt. Schultz was played on a loop.

Starters couldn't hit broad side of barn and were replaced by five subs who couldn't find the barn. Now hybrid group in. Army 13-7 as Lauren scores a quick five points at end of quarter.

Half ends 22-21, but not a defensive gem. Ten players in game for HC so far. Any word about Faulkner? Hope she is OK.

Faulkner not present tonight - this is troubling AWP playing without one of their better players, Lindsey Scamman soph forward who injured her knee against navy on Saturday - another reason we should get this game

HC started 1 for 11 from the floor and trailed 10-2. One of our worst starts. They now have the lead at the half. If they keep that up in the second half (and the third quarter has been a problem at times for HC) they should be OK.

Avery launched a lay up while horizontal six inches off the floor with enough spin on it to wash a load of clothes, and then converted the "and one". We have to keep her for two more years.
I am placing ADMB in charge of player retention during any coaching transition like no one was in charge of that when Carmody left. If he can't retain Avery, then don't bother getting a new Coach. It isn't worth it.
HC 46-37 as Lauren and Avery take the game over.
