I was about to comment regarding the arithmetic used in the calculation. Seems one short of a Baker’s dozen.

A crazy question about recruiting over the next six weeks
What happens to kids waiting for a better offer, possibly the 3-4 or more kids we are talking to, if schools cancel travel for coaches(home visits) or official visits for recruits
Do they take the best option and we have a numbers issue? For example Rodgers has his visit to E Michigan delayed, Moses has no additional offers and Bo has yet to take ( don’t knot that is a fact) other official visits. The other possibility is the kids wait until the summer to make a decision. Do we wait or pull the offer and go to our 2021 group?
To put this in some perspective
I know a hypothetical today, but given all of the uncertainty about the virus there is a good chance Schools will continue to shut down and OPM and Congress will push WFH for most employees(as early as tomorrow afternoon) until more is known.
Today I was given the Welcome Trust/WHO model estimates for the US (in the case of a pandemic) and they certainly could support such action by OPM
Dado happy to discuss the health infrastructure issues and epidemiology with you

Seriously doubt we would hold an offer into the summer That is when the 2021 class begins to unfold I see all HS seniors we have offered committing somewhere by the April signing date

Only semi on topic, Hogan has cancelled all functions for outside groups from today forward through mid-April. One step closer to the scenario efg described

Agree with the preference and even the decision, but If we think we need another point or big do we wait?

Again I say, Almost all, if not all, seniors we have offered will decide by April signing date.

Could Sandy and/or Reilly have one year scholarships from Green and Grandison that have been agreed by all not to be renewed?

That leaves only ten players on scholarship for 2019-20. I believe it was clarified on some thread that scholarships are guaranteed for one year only, so why are you so definite?

I wasn't the one making definite statement, but for starters (from earlier in this thread) Sandy was enrolled here before the Green and Grandison scholarships became available. When you say only ten scholarships, does that include Hargis and Lowder? Ten does seem like a small number, but if you end the school year planning on 13 (which would include Sandy) , then lose two over the summer, scramble to fill one of the two at the last minute with Reilly to start the season with 12, then lose Lowder and Hargis and voila there are ten. Still a small number, but in the summer no one anticipates kids quitting mid-season

If it bought the team depth for a year it would be a good investment and it would allow a player to bet on himself in college for a year instead of prep school. The awkwardness of removing a scholarship after one year from a hard working team player is another thing. If all factors were mutually agreed upon in advance it would reduce awkwardness.

Hate to try and step on any of the Board Sheriffs' toes, but can we move the black hole scholarship talk to its own thread?
I keep getting excited that there may be an update on Bo M when this thread pops up...

Cannot be pleasant running, jumping and sweating with a mask.

Remember, the mask is more to protect others from spray of the wearer. It offers very little protection from others for the wearer.
