Imagine hearing that the enthusiasm of the players on the bench ended to be addressed by the umps (and announcers). I have to admit I like it.
(Anyone have an idea of what the "problem" might have been?)

Swept Charleston Southern two seasons ago. Going back to 2013, that is the only time they have won a series against a non-New England team. They did split with Mississippi State in 2014. Overall, they also won a series from Yale in 2013, 2014 and 2016. So for this team to go on the road and take a series against an OOC opponent is something that doesn't happen often. I am thinking UC Riverside may be a little tougher test as they are coming off a good year and are projected to finish 4th in the Big West (D1baseball.com). One common opponent with Bakersfield, Loyola Marymount, which Riverside beat 3-2 and Bakersfield lost 7-1. Can't take a lot from that as baseball is a funny game and can change day to day. Hope the non-bunting continues.

Chuckers as an old poster once referred to them. Ugh..."they need 3 scholarships, 2 pitchers and a SS".

Imagine if we had practiced outside on the lax field, we would have swept this series.

4 games starting tonight against Cal - Riverside (6-6) - they play in a much tougher conference than Bakersfield - the Big West which features perennial power Cal - Fullerton - looks like the game tonight will be available for viewing bigwest.org/watch/default.aspx?Live=2858&path=uc_riverside

Connor Crotty pitching for HC - no sign of Dvorak on this trip which has to be concern - wonder if he tweaked something during that short outing vs. SC on that rainy, cool day.

No Dovarak is tough. Crotty got two quick outs and then loaded the bases with walks.

2-0 after one - UCR head coach is a familiar name to many, Troy Perceval, who had a pretty long career in the major leagues, I believe mostly as a relief pitcher.
