Fantastic. It could not have happened to a nicer or more talented player.

Also Sprach Zarathustra !! "2001: A Space Odyssey" directed by my all-time favorite cinema Director, Stanley Kubrick. (Spartacus, Doctor Strangelove, Clockwork Orange, Paths of Glory, Eyes Wide Shut--watch them all)

Now on to the very close vote for player of the year - it might help Lauren that Mack did not have impressive line in their win over Laf, and Kucowski (Laf) and Thompson (Colgate) finished their seasons with disappointing losses. We finished in 4th place (actually in a 3 way tie for 3rd with Colgate and Lafayette) and will face Lafayette (5th) at the Hart on Monday.

With Ezemma available and Cross and Petro contributing we have managed without Faulkner and the starters are intact. HC could make a run.

Nice top see Petro healthy and able to contribute. I enjoyed seeing her play in high school for two seasons.

Congratulations to Lauren - for a while there it looked like she might not get it as Loyola seemed to be running out the clock, intentionally or not. Glad I went to it. POY has certainly come down to Mack & Manis, both are worthy candidates and I won't complain (much) if Mack gets it.

I wasn’t aware of any injury to Petro - what was it ? I think she was simply not in the rotation and Faulkner (when available) was taking her minutes - no doubt will need to improve as she’ll play a key role next season

If I recall correctly, she had off-season knee surgery, and had a setback in preseason, at one point she was in a boot.

Yup. When she arrived she did need time to adjust to the speed of the college game and her injury cost her valuable time. Side could be a strong piece of next year's team.

WBB had two(?) less games than MBB this year. Glad that didn't stop Lauren from reaching 2K.

'fewer' games ... ref Petro, so you guys are saying she had knee surgery 'and' a foot-ankle injury that had her in a boot - I watched most of the games this year and did not notice

Loyola looks shorthanded and hobbling into the postseason - this should be a happy night with a W and Lauren reaching 2000 mystery girl Faulkner not playing and not on the bench - something tells me she will not be around next season and if so that would make 6 exiting the program Bucknell beating Laf 34-22 at the half Took a trip south in February, noticed "Greencastle" signs of I81. It's almost in Maryland, near the Mason Dixon Line. If she left HC, it's not for the bright lights of her home town, that's for sure.

Are these situations in M+WBB a peek into reduced stability in the student body as a Whole compared to days of yore where most entered as a freshman and exited four years later with little indecision along the way?
