Purple, you have to be a coach or compliance person. However Mullaney, Lynskey and Kodzis are on the board

You may be looking at last year's roster - in 2020, all three are seniors - actually a nice opportunity to graduate from HC and look for some athletic aid at a place where they can pursue a grad degree

forgot, also O'Connell. He has 2 years of eligibility so he will be able to help a program out for anther couple of years. He was a transfer from South Carolina, which does not have a varsity Lax program. Somebody is going to get lucky

He is graduating so there is no place for him at HC, unfortunately.

Sowers withdrawal from school was apparently not factual and he has since stated that he is in school through the year (maybe he got wind of the league's policy)

Univ of Wisconsin issued a statement today that they will not invite spring student athletes back in 2021 - that's the first power conference school to say 'no thank you' to the ncaa giving permission to grant an extra year of eligibility. It has to be an economic decision more than anything. AD Barry Alvarez basically said 'graduate and get on with your lives'.

Wonder if he would done the same if the ones missing their senior season were the football or basketball players ?

It will get easier and easier for schools to do the same thing as the number of schools who have done it grows. It’s a nightmare on many fronts for the schools to try to bring kids back for an extra season of sports. Sucks for the kids but the rip the band-aid off solution is probably best under the circumstances. Agree with hoops that football and hoops might have gotten different treatment than lax and baseball.

The answer is that individual school responses to this situation would likely be much different.

Believe it or not, I don’t closely follow Wisconsin non-revenue sports.

Believe it or not, I don’t closely follow Wisconsin non-revenue sports. UW has 10 spring sports: softball, men’s and women’s outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s rowing and women’s lightweight rowing. It comes out to 35 student-athletes affected.

It's going to end up being a grad student transfer type of situation, where the student has eligibility and there is mutual interest in having him/her play for some other school. The only difference, IMHO, will be that there will be more kids of that type with eligibility because the NCAA has said the 2019-20 season in their spring sport doesn't count.

Agree...the Wisconsin situation opens the door to more Power 5 schools to follow in the footsteps.
