If the future is about transfers and we are a PL team our OOC schedule needs to be way more impressive. Coming out of Covid that might be hard

Before the usual suspects get carried away, "Heard from" doesn't translate into "I'm interested in going to"

Agree my point is if recruiting in the future is how we manage the transfer portal, we will need a better schedule. Given the conference that means an improved ooc

Both would be great for the school, players, and the community. Realistically the OOC schedule is the likely option and the coach and AD have some influence to make it happen. Covid travel might limit all options this coming fall?

Covid travel might limit all options this coming fall? Or improve them given the fact HC has some pretty good potential opponents 60 minutes away. Getting them to play us is the problem.

Bucknell Bio for Turner:
One of the all-time leading scorers in the history of Philadelphia high school basketball joins the Bison backcourt in 2020-21 ... played primarily off the ball in high school but will likely see time at both the point and shooting guard spots at Bucknell ... tremendous offensive talent, whose game will only get better as he learns the nuances of the college game.
2020-21 Played in 11 of the 12 games with 1 start as a rookie guard ... played 19.8 mpg and averaged 8.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 1.6 apg ... scored in double figures 4 times, with a high of 21 pts. vs. American ... shot 35.1 FG%, 20.7 3FG%, 79.5 FT% ... first guard off the bench in both games of the season-opening Navy series and made a big impact ... 7 pts., 5 reb. in 23 min. in the opener in Annapolis ... team-high 15 pts. (9-9 FT) with 3 stl. vs. Navy at Sojka Pavilion ... two solid games in sweep of Lehigh, with 6 pts., 2 asst. in home win and 10 pts., 3 asst in road victory ... named Patriot League Rookie of the Week after two good performances in the 1/30-31 sweep of Lehigh ... tallied 17 pts., 4 asst., 3 stl. in 24 min. off bench in Saturday road win ... added 7 pts., 2 stl. the following day in a 24-pt. victory ... set new season high with 21 pts. (7-13 FG, 2-3 3FG, 5-8 FT) in home game vs. American.

That's a big hit for the Bison Turner is a good young player with a lot of potential. I don't think he played in the last few games of the season maybe a sign of things to come.

AU gets a transfer from GW-CG Lincoln Ball. Played in 14 games (9 starts) as a freshman last year, averaging 14 per game. Had been offered by Siena, Lehigh and Mount St. Mary's before committing to GW. Four years remaining. I suspect he'll step in and take most of Jamir Harris' minutes at the two.

14 what per game? (points, minutes, rebounds?) Minutes, sorry. :-) Not A-10 quickness, apparently, but knows how to play. Former quarterback in HS.

Oh yes, I heard of him. The fourth son of Levar Ball, all with first names beginning with L. Lincoln is the quiet one.🙂

From NY Post Sports. Six players from St. John's , including two in the rotation, have entered the transfer portal. A desire to test their worth appeared to be the overriding reason. Jealousy over not receiving credit may have contributed to the decision for some. Another St. John's player has stated his intention to "test the NBA waters" while still maintaining his college elgibility.

Dado, For me, Gonzaga beautiful game has usurped those real flaws at least temporarily. You left out the cheater coaches, one of whom, Kelvin Sampson, is in the Final Four after a 5 year ban and burying Indiana. Villanova and Virginia as recent champs have at least put to rest the value of multiple one and dones at Kentucky(cheater central), and .Duke

They are never going to label a HS or college student athlete as jealous for credit.

Yes the transfer epidemic is making it difficult to develop an emotional tie to a team or player when you don't know from year to year who's going to be there. If the one time free transfer rule is approved as expected, is it possible that the high school talent pool for mid majors will increase as the power conferences hold back a scholarship or two each year for transfers. As far as the one and dones are concerned it's long past overdue that the NBA gets rid of its crazy rule prohibiting high schoolers from going directly to the NBA.

IMO the Post has the best sports sections in NYC. I have bookmarked Refdesk.com. In the newspaper section of RefDesk I am able to freely access the NY Post. & other publications as well. The Post is a freebie. TBT Sports is the only section I read.( The Times & WAPO have a more complete news section but their sports section does not rival the NY Post. I do want to try Newsday, Sports, too.
