Would be really nice to get one more guy in this mold before next season. I'm guessing there's room.

Given the seriousness of the crisis going on, can't someone come up with a good HC-related Karnak joke?
I'll be trying to come up with one, but feel free to post one...probably be better than mine anyway.

Okay, here's a Holy Cross/Transfer Portal Karnak bit, and you should all know that the question has been hermetically sealed in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnalls' porch since yesterday The answer: A monkey wrench, an emerald, and the next HC player to opt for the transfer portal The question: ? Any clairvoyant posters out there?

Not sure how much help Gasperini will be for UMass his play seemed to regress during his time at American. Guess you haven't seen UMass play for the past six seasons.

I can see why UMass is scrambling for players they've had four players enter the portal two of which were young starters on this years team. With McCall having a 38-58 record in 3 seasons it's hard to believe UMass didn't look to bring Pitino back to his alma mater.

And this is after McCall cleaned house after he first got there. Big swinging doors at the Mullins Center.

He will likely find a landing spot, but I doubt he will be in big demand. Rarely got off the bench for a poor Albany team this year - playing a combined 34 minutes (eight games) for the year prior to leaving the team at the end of January. According to the Albany roster, he is 6-7.

From NERR:
After taking a series of official visits in recent weeks, Worcester Academy and BABC big man Mitch Doherty made a verbal commitment to Albany on Sunday morning.
The Massachusetts native announced his decision via his twitter account. Doherty is a truly elite frontcourt passer with a tremendous basketball I.Q. and some of the best hands in New England. His ability to facilitate from various spots on the floor makes him a major mismatch problem and the type of big man a coach can play through in the half-court.
In fact, during the recent EYBL season he not only led BABC in total rebounds but also in assists and steals at 3.6 and 1.8 per game respectively.
Worcester Academy head coach Jamie Sullivan also credited Doherty's leadership and ability to raise the level of those around him.
"While many highlight Mitch's skill level, passing ability, and high I.Q., he has played a major part in raising the collective IQ and basketball understanding of everyone else in our program," he said.
Doherty becomes the fourth member of BABC's 2019 class to accept a full athletic scholarship at the division I level.
He also becomes the centerpiece of Albany's 2019 class just a year after they landed a dynamic incoming duo in South Kent forward Malachi de Sousa and explosive guard Antonio Rizzuto.

Pretty big loss for Bucknell: Jimmy Sotos (JR) in the portal, per VC. Starting point guard last two years; led them in scoring and assists last season.

Seems odd with one year left. Maybe he’s graduating early and can play next year as a grad transfer? I’m assuming he has a destination in mind. Will be interesting to see where he lands.
