As a Bucs fan living in New England, I like it and hope it leads to championships. Never have rooted for Brady before. I can honestly say I’ve never met a Bucs fan😁

Cousy was the only one who took more than a few years off between leaving Boston and playing elsewhere He played a large part in an epic collapse against the Knicks in NYKs championship season. Came from 5 down in the last 27 seconds to win, no 3 pointer in those days. Played another 3 or 4 games after that, then hung it up for good. Always regretted thinking he could still play a few minutes a game.

The night was fantastic for me. You think I'm going to stop rooting for a guy after 20 years? I'm not that fickle. I love Gronk also so I had a smile plastered on all night. Interesting that all the people I know who were resentful Brady left, came around and became big Brady fans again by the end of the season.

Months ago, thecrossisback identified himself as a Bucs fan and I noted that I had never met a Bucs fan. I think he remains the only one I have ever come across. Congrats to TB12, Gronk, and especially the Bucs DC Todd Bowles who had a great game plan to take advantage of the Chiefs' offensive line injuries. I cheered for the Bucs as well because Brady is the man and I want him to put his title as GOAT quarterback out of reach.

Belichik is more important to the Patriots than Brady. Cold takes exposed? Just a friendly ribbing SoV!
Coaches coach, but players play! Todd Bowles a better coach than Belichick? No way, but when you have the horses, it's easier to win the race.

As a Giants fan Brady going to the NFC was not good as the Bucs are now viewed by networks as another home team and are televised almost exclusively in this area. NFL even went so far as making sure their game times were not competing as they didn't play in the same time slot till week 13 this year. Only solace is knowing Giants are Brady's cryptonite, 2007 Super Bowl was an all time highlight.

Meanwhile, the networks have no problem scheduling the Jets and Giants in the same time slot ad nauseum. This season actually wasn't THAT BAD -- happened twice early, once more in like Week 16 when no one really cared. But 2018 and 2019 it felt like every week Jets and Giants were both on at 1pm. I remember probably a 15 year stretch where the Jets and Giants NEVER played in the same slot.

I remember that and did appreciate it. However, the networks no longer seem to care about setting the two NY (actually New Jersey) teams with conflicting times.

I'm sure there's some kind of empirical evidence that drove the decision to get away from that scheduling methodology. And I don't think there's that many people who care enough about both teams to dedicate six hours to doing nothing but watching both teams back-to-back on a fall Sunday. As it is, I barely have enough time to watch just the Giants. The Super Bowl this year was the only game I watched the majority of, and I didn't get to it until late in the first quarter. Just too many other things to do.

Not intended as a pot-shot at this comment but this sounds a lot like the reason people give for not going to Holy Cross football and basketball games. Too many other distractions or higher priority things going on.

Too many other distractions or higher priority things going on. No offense taken (and I know none was intended). But it's true. I wish I had 3 hours to dedicate to anything remotely recreational these days.

I remember that and did appreciate it. However, the networks no longer seem to care about setting the two NY (actually New Jersey) teams with conflicting times. The bars appreciated it too. When the networks jam both teams into the 1pm slot, the Jets and Giants fans "crowd each other out". You have to pick which team to put audio on for and there's less reason for patrons to stick around after 4pm. Plenty of times I'd go out with say 6 friends, half of us Jets, half of us Giants fans. So we'd get to the bar at 1 and stay through both games. When both games are on at the same time, we're closing out at 430 and heading home.

You're old enough with enough responsibilities now that you shouldn't be hanging out n a bar with friends for 7 hours on a Sunday much less several Sundays!

Before this Covid year he would go to the local sports bar and they would put the Pats on for him on games that weren't nationally televised. He hated it when they played in the same time slot as the Cleveland Browns because that bar is the regional Browns fan gathering spot and they would raise a ruckus across the room.
