How did McC manage to only go to HC two years...didn't he sit out a year...or did he sit out while attending St. Michael's or somewhere else (or nowhere)? D2 to D1 do not sit a year I'm pretty sure I remember playing basketball with him during the 83-84 school year when he wasn't on the team. No firm recollection, but it is likely he lit me up

A check of the St Michael's website has Jim McCaffrey setting some records at that school and playing 1981-1983. Here's the link d2o2figo6ddd0g.cloudfront.net/0/7/hz3v8sifauaqwz/MBB_Record_Book.pdfThe HC archives show that he played for HC in 1984-85 and 1985-86 So, it looks like he did not play at either school in the 1983-1984 season, but it does not tell us whether he was at HC going to classes and not on the team or whether he sat out that season elsewhere

When HC went coed my sophomore year I believe some women transferred in as juniors and attended HC for only two years before graduating. The college website says a student must complete at least half of his or her college courses at Holy Cross to be eligible for a degree from the college.

I feel for players who entered the portal without any scholarship anywhere guaranteed in writing, but feeling good about their chances and proud of their bold independence. Then Coronavirus hits. Now he/she is stuck home with all siblings distance learning, both parents telecommuting, grandma in a six foot containment zone and the cat hissing at everyone. From the penthouse to the outhouse.

It will work out fine. Just will take longer than they thought. On the plus side, probably makes Pridgen more likely to stay.

Are you sure he has two years eligibility ? He played in 11 games as a freshman in addition to the past two seasons Stats are unimpressive Someone on the Temple message board said he has one year of eligibility. If that is the case, that probably wouldn’t work at HC as I believe you have to be a student at least 3 years to earn an HC degree. Well someone better tell my wife that framed sheet of paper on the wall doesn't mean what she thinks it means for last 36 years. She transferred in as a junior and was a student at HC for just 2 years.

Anybody watch Jarius Hamilton from BC? He is now a member of the transfer portal-from Charlotte Lost his starting job mid February, then may have gotten injured as he subbed in one game and then DNP for three games. 6-8 , 234 lbs. 25-89= .281 on threes as a soph after hitting at .299 on threes. as a freshman. Pretty good free throw shooter and good on his twos. Not a big rebounder. All this based on the stats with no first hand viewing of his game.

Those offers could have been/ probably were very early offers among the many that the big boys give out He was probably not left to choose any of these

That put him in pretty select company. He was quite a catch for BC.

I would gladly take Hamilton despite his previous poor judgment. However, methinks he will wind up at a higher level and closer to home.

From what I can see, I doubt he would be as good as Reilly. He is a 6-1 CG, playing for an average Ohio team, who averaged 16.8 ppg this year. Averaged about 10 ppg last year.
