More turmoil in the coaching ranks at HC.

When you turn around a program that had not been to the PL playoffs in 19 years, you’re immediately considered a hot coach - says a lot - wonder if she has indeed landed a higher profile job

Is the AD doing too much in his first year?

Why would the AD fire the coach after that season? On the other hand, why would the coach resign w/o having a new job in line?
The hits just keep on coming, don't they?

Why would the AD fire the coach after that season? On the other hand, why would the coach resign w/o having a new job in line? I would be very surprised if she was fired - assuming no other issues. The 2019 season was the best for HC women's soccer in 20 years.

Why not keep your salary and benefits until the new job is signed, sealed and delivered?

Why not keep your salary and benefits until the new job is signed, sealed and delivered? Just because HC didn't say, doesn't mean it isn't.

Probably taking the job at Marist.
Is this considered a step up these days?

Why not keep your salary and benefits until the new job is signed, sealed and delivered? She's almost certainly under contract and retaining her benefits through June 30, unless she actually tenders her resignation sooner.
I think in these unusual times, we have to be aware that there are always other possible considerations in play here, and not every resignation is about the AD cleaning house, or the coach leaving the school because they weren't sufficiently supported. When you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail... but that doesn't mean it really is.

While there is another thread, I'll post the news here as well. The former coach was hired as the head coach of women's soccer at UPenn.
