Described as a "redshirt." Further confirmation of what Nelson was doing with him last year?
Best of luck to Ciaran - very nice kid.

Hope Sandy does well at his new home and lands another D1 scholarship at a school where he can see some time.
Sandy was a very late signing by Carmody and staff, which makes it all the more peculiar that someone who was very obviously a major project would be used with a scholarship so late in the signing period.
What were Carmody and his staff doing last spring?

Hopefully we won't be saying "Oh, that's why they recruited him!" a few years from now (keeping in mind he has only been playing for a few years). As a recruited walk-on, made sense to me; as a scholly player, not so much.
Hey, could this happen: CS develops at Dade, and he comes back here? If he did I'm sure the PL would count this year as a spent year, but that would be an interesting story. I feel like American had someone who did that back when they first joined the PL - a kid who played a year when they were in the CAA, left for a couple of years to a juco, then came back (name escapes me; maybe NJJ or bison could confirm).

Dave, might that be, Ar-vee-dus Eh-to-tav-a-sis (Fouracre voice)? I know it's not, but always got a kick out of Fouracre trying to pronounce his name.
That was a great rivalry between those HC and AU teams.

Lol SoV, remember him, but I the name I am thinking of is Jernavis Draughn: www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/jernavis-draughn-1.htmlThis shows him playing for AU in 2000-01; away for a year, then back for 2002-03 and 2003-04. Thought that skipped year was spent at a juco but am not sure. He was a pretty good player if I recall.

Abe's last name always reminded me of Babu Bhatt on Seinfeld...."bad man, very bad man"
