With all the attention given to football, some nice performances may have been missed: Field Hockey - beat UMass Lowell (3-2) on Friday and Sacred Heart (2-1) on Sunday - on a 2 game win streak Volleyball - got 2 wins on Saturday over Quinnipiac (3-1) and LaSalle (3-0) - on a 2 game win streak
Soccer - lost a close 3-2 decision to UNH (HC now 6 in a row after winning the season opener).

elsewhere... men's soccer stepped up in class last night against big east st.john's and it showed. tough turnaround having played friday evening, but being outshot 25-4 (13-0 in the first half) has to be a bit discouraging. nevertheless, this looks to be an improved team. men's and women's golf both had 2 freshman in their lineups, but finished next to last in their weekend tournaments. this will always be tough for us playing against teams that give aid to golfers. men's and women's tennis played in doubles tournaments. tough to keep up with other schools with only 1 freshman on each squad. obviously recruiting is a big challenge but can't understand not having more than one frosh on the rosters.

All three teams I mentioned were women's teams. I should have been clear about that...sorry.
