I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but a professor at Elon University wrote a research paper about Holy Cross' decision to not join the Big East. The author did not try to determine whether Cross made the "correct" decision. Probably old news to most of you, but maybe of interest to some. Article: LinkResearch paper: Link

Author is a Siena grad and former Siena Assistant AD. Guessing he stumbled upon Crossports during the McCrybaby Scandal, saw some whining about the BIg East decision and decided years later to do a paper on it.
