Absolutely criminal he only had 29 touches in 12 games last season.

Loved him at HC—a real talent—and I agree we might have gone to him more. Of course with AA, TA, and SG we had plenty of other targets. Re:NFL, is he a bit undersized for tight end? Aren’t most 6-6 or taller? 4.6 is strong and so is vertical

A legitimate NFL prospect and could enjoy a good career he is Whitten but with better speed and vertical-just depends where he goes Questions around his run blocking

Agree and thanks for the correction
Imo he is a JW type of te with slightly better speed, but I question his blocking skills. Probably a clearer way of expressing it. No intention to suggest he was as talented. A legitimate prospect at this point is fair, a legitimate NFL talent would have been more than a stretch. It depends on which team gives him an opportunity as to whether he sticks. If the right opportunity, and he avoids injuries, I could see him lasting longer than a season. To me anything more than a year in professional sports begins to count towards a career.

Jason Witten is a Hall of Famer and one of the best tight ends in the history of the sport. Are we really making this parallel?

Jason Witten is a Hall of Famer and one of the best tight ends in the history of the sport. Are we really making this parallel? Not at all, comparing the type(minus the blocking skills) of TE —not talent or suggesting he has any level of potential.

Absolutely criminal he only had 29 touches in 12 games last season. Agreed and I often wonder why we recruit TEs when we rarely throw to them!
