The comments are quite something. Here is a sample:
Oh no, dont say its so. The communist indoctrination camps may shut down!
All those $500k per year victims! Teaching bogus subjects, students getting worthless degrees and joining the ranks of the underemployed ! Now they want the taxpayer to subsidize them !
Does that mean that $500 textbooks, sold back for 1 term for $25, are a thing of the past? That tenured "professors" will have to work for a living? That administrators will quit with the holier than thou attitudes? Like Democratic honesty, doubtful at best.Right on!
The left's propaganda, disinformation and brainwashing machine will be underfunded! Disaster!

I would expect that all fair-minded HC alums, parents and businesses will come to the aid at our beloved alma mater in her time of need. Now, is the time. How many on this board will heed the call! This year’s campaign begins on Monday, the 13th

The story was an AP byline, reprinted by Fox Business.

Charity begins at home. Some donors will have to cut back on giving to keep their families secure if they are effected by the Carona recession.

Hey, if overall we (me, you, HC) get out of this down in our investments 15%, I'd call that specific ramification of the pandemic a win; and while it would certainly hurt fund raising, it wouldn't strike a death blow to it.
Don't think that's a political comment either.

Seems like a real tough time to start a capital campaign.

Seems like a real tough time to start a capital campaign. The capital campaign is ending on June 30, not beginning. The goal was $400 million, it supposedly will be exceeded.
