I have to wonder if salary cuts and/or layoffs are coming to our athletic assoc staff - here is an update from a state school which we can expect to be commonplace: Iowa State AD Jamie Pollard announced Wednesday that Cyclones coaches will endure pay cuts as the athletics department tightens its belt due to the coronavirus crisis. “I could not be prouder of all our coaches and staff for uniting as one on these tough decisions that will save over $4M annually,” Pollard tweeted.

That is an impressive show of support by the Iowa State coaches!

My guess is that to reach 4 mill the men’s hoops and football coaches would have taken the biggest hits And this will probably be the same template at most, if not all, schools

I read a quote today from the Towson AD talking about how the reality at lower-tier athletic schools is different than the P5. The potential of lost football isn't a concern as much as whether students can keep paying tuition in the economic climate, and whether dorms are open in the fall (R&B revenue).

As I will post in another thread, Wisconsin has not agreed on giving spring sport seniors a fifth year so they will not be welcomed back to campus.
