First time in history this has happened? Hi no not all all. You can pick a sport and I can tell stories about players who wanted to come to UNH but were not admitted to the school. I realize the high standards of Holy Cross due to being a member of the Patriot League and probably the second best academic conference in America. That being said UNH is not in the PL and it makes it tough when the other AE schools can get kids in and UNH can't. The good thing is it's fair across the board in all sports as you can tell with hockey in recent years. Johnny Gaudreau is a big example of this

Gosh, I saw the thread, which was from years ago, but I feared there might be rumors about her departure
Thankfully, I was wrong

Still pissed off about showing her dad on the screen a good 10 seconds after the game had started again.

Perhaps the answer might be—-because I want a fresh start and she was part of the problem-no loyalty and not able to bring talent over the finish line What loyalty? She was there for 12 seasons....I think that shows plenty of loyalty. You look at Magarity who has been under .500 in five out of her nine seasons (overall and in America East) in Durham, it is a questionable hire. You look at BU hiring an alum who was an assistant at UConn that gets people excited about the program. I don't see Magarity getting people excited in Worcester. Watch the press release quotes be from her "DAD" and say oh look at what a great job she is going to do...compare that to having Geno, Lobo, Breanna Stewart, etc in your bio. This one gets me every time. Congrats to Coach Magarity and team on another championship dub over BU.

Isn't that BU coach I referenced in a Power 5 conference right now while MM is coaching in a play-in game.

And your point??? Being at a power 5 school is a much better job than being a Patriot League school which is playing in a "play-in" game after winning a regular season and postseason title in that conference.

My point is Our MM is a better coach than Wisconsin's MM. And MM67 would agree, I'm sure. Both coaches have generally level resources as the rest of their league, so they are both coaching on level playing fields. One succeeds one doesn’t. Coach Moseley has never brought a team to the NCAA tournament as head coach while Coach Magarity is going for the second straight season and third national tournament in a row.
B.U. in the PL is an attractive school for PL level players and Wisconsin is attractive for Big Ten level players. A coach in the NBA who consistently loses despite a level salary cap as the rest of the league is not as good a pure coach as a high school coach in a league of similar sized high schools in towns of similar demographics who consistently wins.

Huge difference in talent level between PL and Big Ten. The sixth player on the bench at Wisconsin would easily be a top five player in the Patriot League. The Big Ten has two of the four one seeds in this year's women's tournament for example while the Patriot League Regular Season and Postseason champ gets a play-in game.

MM is the itch our little sh*t-flinging monkey can't scratch, and he's in a bit of a lull right now - really needs to get back to work on his photo montage of the Kelsey Hogan era.
Happy "UNH Basketball Never Sniffing the Dance" Month to those who celebrate, btw.
