Wait...weren't we told on Crossports that there was no way Lauren would ever be drafted?

On the ESPN site, Lauren is the only player in the third round with no photo. Must have been a surprise pick

I just became a Las Vegas Aces fan, a few weeks after I became a Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fan. Holy Cross has an alum in the NFL and one in the NBA but I don't think either got drafted. When was the last time (other than MLB which has 40 rounds, down from 75 rounds in 1988) a Holy Cross player got drafted by a pro league?

Wow ! Great for the program too From that long interview that Foley posted she did not give any indication that she was being evaluated by the WNBA - I wonder if she has any private workouts at HC since the season ended

I know others disagree but I think that Manis has a shot to be drafted in the WNBA. Main reason: her rebounding ability. She can really elevate. Great call!

Well, I admit to being wrong on drafted, but if you listen to her interview I think even she was at best hoping for a tryout. Still think she will end up overseas, hope I'm wrong again!

I looked at the Aces twitter and I don’t see any other picks - Lauren might have been their only one - and the coach is Bill Laimbeer - that will be interesting

Turns out neither, Jeff Ruland was McFilthy and Rick Mahorn was McNasty. Maybe Lambeer is a nice guy after all. Perhaps he traded his picks in the first two rounds. If Lauren is the only draft choice that is good news for her, and HC WBB.

Bill Laimbeer has coached in the WNBA for 15 of the last 18 years with 6 first place conference finishes and 3 WNBA titles (with the Detroit Shock and Swin Cash). Has a daughter who played HS and college ball several yrs. ago. Suffice it to say that he has a good record for identifying and coaching top female talent. As the Aces only selection and given Laimbeer’s coaching record, Lauren may have been drafted into the best possible situation. Time will tell. Best wishes to her.

I recall a girl with the last name ‘kraemer’ from bucknell - she also scored a ton of points but was a guard - and believe she was drafted maybe 10-12 years ago

Molly Creamer, I think she was 2002 or 3. She was picked #10 by NY & never played a game. She did play overseas.

She was a PG who is #2 all-time in the PL in both assists and points. First in career ppg and first in career FT's made.

Bison, do you remember a PLT game between HC and Bucknell that was televised where Molly Creamer was driving to the hoop and appeared to be well guarded, and then put it in another gear and just blew by the defender? It might have been something to do with the camera angle but it looked like the defender was left with two broken ankles and Molly had the bucket.
