You obviously believe that we will not play spring football in 2021

I'll make a small bet that the NCAA allows an extra game for the next two-three years, to add revenue, and in a small way, offset the revenue loss in the 2020 season, particularly helping schools that lost guarantee games.

Really hope we get another BC game after losing the one scheduled for 2020. I know we are scheduled again for 2023, hope another one is added soon.
I've kinda lost track due to covid, are our FBS games the following?
2021: UConn 2022: Buffalo 2023: BC 2024: none scheduled yet I believe 2025: Northern Illinois

Is it definite that there is no BC game this season ? 99.9% Only chance would be if ACC decides to move football to spring. And even then, IF IT HAPPENS, all signs are pointing to a conference-only spring football schedule. FWIW -- this probably means absolutely nothing, but the Holy Cross game has yet to be removed from the 2019 BC Football Schedule on their athletic website.

Good idea, but I'll also make a small bet that it WON'T happen. Especially when mounting concerns for player safety is supposed to be a thing. Talking about head injuries, not future COVID strains.

Rather than starting a new thread, keep it here as it is sort of germane to us. BC added Fordham to their 2025 schedule. Somewhat surprised these two fine institutions (yes, it pained me to type that0 have nevah met on the gridiron before. fbschedules.com/fordham-adds-boston-college-to-2025-football-schedule/ETA: after researching this, they have in fact played many times before Fordham dropped D1 football in the 1950s....thought so, sloppy research by that website

I saw Fordham play football, probably in ‘54, in the Polo Grounds, their home field May have been against HC

I saw Fordham play football, probably in ‘54, in the Polo Grounds, their home field May have been against HC The Crusaders won 20-19 on 11/13/54. That was one of only three victories on the season. Interestingly, Fordham is the only team of the three we beat that year that still has a football team. The other victories were against BU and UConn.

An expensive trip no doubt, but probably good for development office and recruiting purposes.

Colgate would likely get more. Typically guarantees bake in the cost of travel. I believe Richmond got more than HC from Boston College.

What's considered the average cost of flying a college football team across the country, including 2 or 3 nights worth of lodging? Gotta be 100K at least.

Any idea who Georgetown is playing OOC besides Brown in the future? A home and away deal with Catholic University, because Georgetown apparently can't attract Div I opponents.
