Leave it to a service academy to describe someone as a "decorated" assistant coach. Welcome to the PL Coach Taylor, good luck except against HC.

An ACC assistant coach at two places including a stop at Virginia where he was the recruiting coordinator. Pretty good hire in my book especially with his connections in the mid-Atlantic but we all know Navy is a NATIONAL program.

Navy has far more funding available than do other patriot league schools. All of their coaches are paid by the NAAA, whose Budget used to be virtually unlimited. Now it has shrunk some, but they still can afford to pay a lot more than other PL programs. Ed DeChellis, who was close to being fired at Penn State, got a contract for $450,000 per year for about six years. His pay was probably raised when he was extended. When Billy Lange was hired many years ago, he immediately became the second highest paid coach in the patriot league, despite having almost no experience.
