I just saw a note that said John Peterman, found of the J. Peterman Company, was class of ‘63. Live and learn.

I believe he lives here in the Commonwealth. He sat behind me when HC men's basketball came to Louisville to play U of L and was friendly enough. I understand he was a pretty good baseball player at HC

Sort of old news as this was a hot topic in “Seinfeld” days - no not the reruns. Common knowledge. Where have you all been?😂

From wiki:
He played third base on the Holy Cross baseball teams that went to the College World Series in 1962 and 1963. As a junior in 1962, he had a .362 batting average and as a senior in 1963, he had a .291 batting average and led his team with 17 runs batted in. He also played minor-league baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization for three years as a second baseman. In 1963, Peterman had a one-day tryout with the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium where he played next to Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Tony Kubek, but did not sign with the team. His baseball career ended in his early 20s after a leg injury.

And John O'Hurley, the actor who played J Peterman on Seinfeld, is a Providence College alumnus. And went to Natick High School, at least for part of his secondary education.
