It would be quite an accomplishment if Jarmond got a better job considering he's accomplished relatively little at BC.

I had the exact same first thought with his prior BC connection and having worked there very recently.
However, his hire in basketball, theoretically his area of greatest expertise, Nelson, pulled a record breaking dismal 3-29 record. While true, the football team won the first PL championship in 10 years, Chesney was not his hire. Hockey? No real improvement. Marcus has to have multiple programs turn the corner before he's a real threat to leave for greener pastures. My guess is TPTB at BC would get roasted if they brought him back. Just no real success record yet.

That coaching decision was a success.

BC has got to be one of the more difficult jobs in the P5 cartel.

1. I love "P5 cartel" [quick, copyright it!]
2. AM as interim coach, regardless of who gets "credit" or "blame" was not a net plus IMHO. I saw her as part of the problem, not part of the solution. Point is, this wouldn't be a tipping point in favor of Blossom's chances for BC AD.

But MB extended AM's interim status for one full season, as I recall. The man deserves credit for breaking even on his BB coach hiring decisions so far. One winning season and one losing season.

Actually, AM was named Interim for 19-20 in March, MB was not named AD until mid-May

Forget that our bar for the definition of athletic success has fallen off the table, what does anyone think the Eagle faithful would say if Marcus Blossom was named AD there?
And don't get me wrong, MB inherited a ship on the shoals and will understandably take time to get it back to drydock and make the necessary repairs before any smooth sailing happens.

This discussion is pointless.
Trust me - whatever an AD does with WBB at HC's level isn't moving the needle for the AD if/when they were to have interest in bigger job, regardless of who the person is.

What I noticed when MB got hired was there was nothing, or next to nothing; BC-related (website, Twitter, etc.), that mentioned anything about it. I don't think he was well-known by their alumni and supporters.

Jarmond reportedly has taken the UCLA job.

What did he accomplish at BC in three years that would have led him to landing what is unquestionably a bigger job at UCLA?

It was not a rhetorical question.
Typically when a coach or AD moves up to a bigger job from one school to another, he / she is able to point to successes at their previous school. BC’s three biggest sports (football, men’s basketball, and men’s ice hockey) were pretty bad the last three years, save for hockey this past season.
Perhaps Jarmond interviewed very well. Unfortunately, I was not in the room with him.

Guys, don't shoot the messenger, my opinions are in parentheses, the rest is what I read:
1. Successful (it would seem, given the way the team played after the first month) hiring of a women's basketball coach. 2. Successful, so I'm told, hiring of a volleyball coach (not that anyone in too many places around here cares about that) 3. Replaced the football coach (they've made him into Frank Leahy already; but, considering he's 0-0 as a head coach, imho it's a little premature) 4. Opened a Luth-like building (but given when it opened I think most of the money was raised before he got there, so I'm a little unsure as to how much credit he should get for that). 5. Raised a decent amount of $ overall 6. Got good reviews from alumni and supporters for improving the football game day atmosphere there, which has sucked for a long time.
The mark against him is he didn't pull the plug soon enough on Jim Christian; then got painted into a corner by the epidemic and was forced to keep him.
