Didn't Togo do that with even greater precision on HC broadcasts--getting to 1/2 feet increments? I seem to remember hearing about that from my brother, HC74, before I got to HC. I will vouch for Chris Clark doing that. I don't remember Togo as a TV man at all. Perhaps he was on when I was at HC and actually at the games? The people who said Channel 10 and 12 were both right. One station had them, then the other. And at one point, one station had PC and one had URI and Chris found himself the voice of the Rams. He used to call most of the players by their first names; so instead of "Ernie, over to Kevin, inside to Marvin", it became "Jiggy on the run, up to Sly".

Just learned yesterday that Sloan was was head coach for the Purple Aces but stepped down for personal reasons shortly before the Evansville team were all killed in a plane crash in '77 I believe. The vagaries of life....RIP Coach

Frank Powell. But I could be incorrect. Yes that is Frankie Powell, probably the best "6th man" to play at HC..

2 Boston guys, what are the odds on that?
I know everyone in the photo but the coach. A completely long shot guess is that it's the Duke coach at the time, Bill Foster.

I believe that is a correct guess. James Bailey from Xaverian would be the second Boston guy. only one from French Lick Which two were HS classmates ? Bonus—What is the HC connection to that HS ? Bonus 2–What current HS has sent/will send teammates to the same colleges as those two ?

I was a huge Ronnie fan
That being said, the guy two to his left was a better player.
They were team mates for a short time

Correct about the Stepinac duo. Davis is a Freshman at UNC Griffin will be at Duke next year. The HC2 connection is not a player but a coach.

By the way - This team was ranked #9 in the Sports Illustrated preseason issue, and, I believe, hit #9 in one of the polls in December.
