And this...
Dear lou,
Every day, the world around us changes. Extraordinary challenges continue to impact the world and how we live, work and thrive within it.
Despite the uncertainty around us, Holy Cross Athletics will always stand for something truly unique — a transformational student-athlete experience that values the entire individual, mind, body and spirit.
Tomorrow, June 4, we’ve planned a giving day to support the student-athlete experience. Each day over the last week, we carefully considered whether we should move forward with this day. The recent instances of violence against black people, widespread protests against racism, civil unrest and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic deeply affect everyone in our community. We understand this. We also believe that athletics has the power to be a bridge, and that sports can communicate in ways that words sometimes can’t. In this moment more than ever, our student-athletes continue to need support from our incredible alumni, parents, friends and fans to achieve their goals.
This is why we are choosing to move forward with our athletics day of giving.
We know the power of the Holy Cross community, especially in times of need. We hope you will join us tomorrow in showing your support for our student-athletes and their commitment to developing as ethical leaders, champion athletes, and men and women for and with others.
With Gratitude,
Tracy W. Barlok P19
Vice President for Advancement
Marcus Blossom
Director of Athletics

For what it's worth, I got the same E-mail.
On generic annual fund appeals, once you give they stop soliciting for that year. I made a donation to the Crusader Athletic Fund earlier this year so that stop asking policy does not apply to this appeal.
