Roselle Catholic's Corey Floyd JR signed with UConn. Roselle also has another big scorer in Jamarques Lawrence. I believe they are both guards , so I don't know how tough the center was that Logan faced when Roselle crushed Westfield

Roselle fields high level prospects at all positions.

Logan is a 6-10 PF from Westfield, NJ. No VC page. And the son of Chris Logan ‘83.

6'10??? He's done a lot of growing. It took some digging to find this photo, but check out the 8th grader on Togo's left

I was thinking Chris was 6'10'' although a bit or research says he was 6'9''. I always liked watching him play. I would be ecstatic is his son ends up at HC.

Sean has had a ball in his hands since he was very young. Hence the solid ball handling for a big man that you pointed out earlier. He didn't play a lot two seasons ago--was thinking he might have been injured but, perhaps he was a late grower and was much shorter then? EDIT--checked the game logs and it looks like the five games in which he played as a soph two years ago were all blowout wins. So it could be he's a late grower, late developer, or both

My third son who was once small for his age is now fairly tall and built like a brick house. He still plays mostly point guard on offense which I am hoping will serve him well in high school.

Those are ridiculous comments abt where Logan lands - have you ever heard about a kid who wants to chart his own course and matriculate at a different school than his father ? I have

I have Agree, and would certainly respect any decision he makes, but getting any version of Chris in a HC lineup would be a positive for the team, the program and the school.

On that basis, your opinion of RW should be in the cellar. RW was unable to land Kevin Bettencourt, whose older brother played for HC (1,000+career points) as did a sister who ran track at HC. And we are well familiar what KB did for the Bison.

If Nelson prioritizes and lands the next Kevin Hamilton over Logan, I will be very happy with him. Nelson has to win. Soon. I don’t really care how he gets there. But, losing sons of alums to fellow PL schools would seem to be a bad sign for his sales abilities. Having made an offer fairly early to Logan, I have to assume he’s someone in whom we have high interest. If that’s true, break out the picture of him and Togo and close the deal.

Would that the recruiting process, even for the son of an alum, were that easy.

Good point, hoops. There are so many variables from one recruit to the next that it is difficult (at least) to say this early what that recruit will choose or why. I am sure someone on the coaching staff will be in regular contact with him (within the NCAA rules for frequency of contact, of course).

Based on whether or not Sean Logan wants to follow in his father’s footsteps, I suspect he already has strong feelings about HC.
