We have a winner Next question. Who are the other two Hayes hoopsters to wear purple ? Both are in the HC. Hall of Fame I will guess Joe Mullaney and Dermie O’Connell.

My guess is the Portal might be an option for Plan B/C According to the William and Mary board, we are one of four schools to express recent interest in a 6’8” PF from Cardinal Hayes in NYC named Tobe Awaka. Others are W&M, BC and Lehigh. He holds six offers. Reported offers are: Manhattan, St. Peter’s, Northeastern, Marist, Bowling Green, Bryant

Some video on Awaka 15 minute highlights (not only Awaka) of a semi final win vs a good team. Hayes won the final also. Certainly not a finished product. Most of his points came at the rim, but he did show some perimeter moves. Rebounds pretty well.Good free throw form, so jumper may be at least somewhat strong. None shown here. #44 He fouled out before the 12 minute mark hsboxscoresnyc.com/posts/251

According to NERR, Justin Perez, a 6’3” guard from Springfield Commonwealth Academy, post grad, and Bishop Hendrickson HS in RI, was on campus recently for an unofficial visit.

Keeping an eye on other PL recruiting news - from the Bucknell board:
Josh Fulton, a 6-5 wing from Atlanta, just committed to the Bison. This was not surprising since his only other offers were from Army and Navy - both from the spring. He received the Bison offer two weeks ago. That leaves the team with one available scholarship, and only one outstanding offer at this point. Haven't seen any sign of activity. The early signing period starts on November 10th. Highlight video:

According to NERR, Justin Perez, a 6’3” guard from Springfield Commonwealth Academy, post grad, and Bishop Hendrickson HS in RI, was on campus recently for an unofficial visit. Perez received a shout out from Adam Finkelstein as one of his top ten performers in last weekend’s National Prep Showcase in New Haven. The top ten tab was for Sunday, the last day of the three day showcase. Lots of top flight talent. Physically, he looks like he is ready to step on a D 1 court today.

(should be in Class of 2023, but I don't see any thread for this). This kid visited, teammate of K. Luc. twitter.com/ejk_2023Notice how tall his sister is, she's a freshman at Virginia Union. Are we (or he) interested?

Guess we have to take those NERR rankings with a grain of salt - #100 is starting for a Big 10 team. I seem to remember Eric Green being ranked in the 70's.
