Amazing when you think of it, the staying power of a nearly 42 year old movie!

That must be rough for Otis Day and the Knights. I hope their Shama Lama Ding Dong is still ongoing, safe and well!

That could not be made today. Cruelty to animals ?😜 Don't laugh. When that movie came out, I was sharing an office with a guy who was incensed by that scene. It didn't seem to help when I pointed out that they really didn't kill and chainsaw an actual horse. He was also rather peeved when SNL brought a horse on stage who they "inerviewed" as Mrs. Ed after the horse that featured in Mr. Ed died.

A few years ago my stepdaughter called one night to thank me. She had just won a trivia contest at her college sorority because she knew the answer to "What is a Blutarsky?" (0.00 GPA) and it was because of me that she knew that. Hopefully this isn't the best contribution I've made to her life.

For us out of towners What is that ? The Dexter Lake Club is a bar near the all girl college that Fawn Liebowitz attended before being tragically killed in a kiln explosion (scene from the movie Animal House)

It is also where Otis Day and the Knights (who had played at Delta House during pledge week) were performing (playing Shama Lama Ding Dong). It is also the Deltas left/abandoned their dates.

Still, there are worse legacies to leave. btw, I like the "Blutarsky", of course, but I've always loved Daniel "D-Day" Simpson's GPA, or lack thereof. Daniel Simpson, no GPA, all incompletes.

Since Kevin Bacon made his debut in this movie. I think we need some sort of "6 Degrees" exercise to link this back to Coach Nelson.😄

Here's all the degrees of Nelson we need:
Nelson played for Donovan. Donovan played for Pitino. Pitino hired Willard. HC hoops a mess since.
