I didn’t read the article but I have felt for a while that is what is going to happen. I guess you would have to make a decision by the end of September when practice normally begins. Maybe they could play a month of non-conference in December with no overnight travel. I think you can forget about in season tourneys this year.

Yes, I think the propensity for big (and some little) schools to be jetting off to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, VI, etc. will take a year off.

The major football conferences are announcing conference only games as we speak. I suspect basketball will do the same unless a startling development takes place soon in the vaccine world.

Villanova is about 1200 miles from Big East foe Creighton Villanova is about 20 miles away from UPenn, LaSalle, St Joes, Temple, and Drexel

The problem isn't the 1200 miles, it's what a program does to get its team there.
Private coaches versus chartered flights (which a lot of the bigs do) should be a wash. But, I think we all agree the type of schlepping that a Holy Cross-level program would do to travel 1,200 miles is not wished on anyone right now. (remember the USF and Maryland trips 12-13 years ago that contributed to ruining a season; more at stake here, of course).

PL protocols shouldn't be any more lax than ACC protocols when it comes to safety this year. With a little effort BC should be able to get an exemption from the ACC. Just tell them we are like Notre Dame.
