SBU is playing Western Michigan on September 4th (SBU is replacing Colgate).
As far as Fordham is concerned, I'm guessing that in addition to the nice early home game v SBU they'll also lose Bryant (9/5) and the big trip to Hawaii (9/12)...best case.

PL teams can't fly, so I hope there is a ferry to Hawaii like there is to Nantucket. But is an associate, football only, PL member covered by this new league policy when playing a non-league game?

There is your answer. There will be PL football this fall. Seems promising. I just hope that the pretentious Ivy League doesn’t influence the Patriot League when they either cancel fall sports or move them to the spring. We have several viable options for replacement games as I noted in earlier posts. Let’s go!

There is your answer. There will be PL football this fall. I would be pleasantly surprised...think Fordham is just putting this out there to, as Jesse Jackson once said, keep hope alive. This (virus), like most everything, is becoming very political in how to deal with it. Playing football during this time will not be allowed at the left-leaning (in general) institutions of the Patriot and Ivy Leagues. Apologies Dean Wormer....have they got that horse out of your office yet???

I don’t think you can interpret the Fordham announcement as a definite indication that the PL will have football this fall - I’m still on the edge of my seat

I don’t think you can interpret the Fordham announcement as a definite indication that the PL will have football this fall - I’m still on the edge of my seat The Fordham announcement is fully consistent with what Fr. B. wrote to parents and students on June 24, with respect to HC athletics. My prediction is an eight game season. ______________________________ And I'll add that one shouldn't overlook two PL schools with cajones, who don't ride in the caboose when it comes to the PL sports train.

Just hope it's not like I said in another post- chop off your finger, then chop off your arm, etc....just hope they are not doing this to prolong the agony when they know damn well in the end they won't play.

Just saw that Hawaii has replaced Fordham with Robert Morris on their schedule with a different date of Sep 26th - what are the chances of such a RMU at Hawaii game actually happening ?

Hawaii just extended its mandatory quarantine / ban on out of state visitors to September 1st. VERY unlikely this game vs RMU gets played.
