Didn't like the name when I first heard the announcement. Warming up to it.

Playing their home games at the Krak House in front of their fans, the Krak Heads.
Don't the Red Wings already have the exclusive NHL rights to have a fan throw an octopus on the ice?

Check out "Clash of the Titans" (1981 edition). That is where I first heard the order to "Unleash the Kraken"

The way I interpreted the video is that the seiners pulled up a light like the one that goes on when a goal is scored. The light went off, and the sound of the Washington State Ferry horn is the horn that blasts after a goal. The video evokes the beauty of our area to announce that the Northwest has scored a hockey team!

With eight limbs Octopuses Octopi Latin The English plural of octopus is octopuses. However the word octopus comes from Greek and the Greek plural form is octopodes. And the Latin plural is octopi. Whichever one Maud Adams used in the 1983 James Bond Movie is fine with me.

I thought the red light was the ferry’s port side running lantern that had fallen off;(
