Guess he (and you) is referring to Cahalan. Could start for UConn

Like I've said before - Tiny doesn't spell so great & he tends to overstate, but kids out of the Shore have done well in the PL over the years - Meg is good, not UCONN good, but good.

I assume Tiny has forgotten UConn is back in the Big East. If it’s accurate with regard to the rest of the Bug East, we should be in good shape for 4 years.

While we were involved with a solid “big” from PA, Lauren Trumpey, she opted for Northwestern. I coached her mom and uncle when they lived in VA. She is the grandaughter of former Bengals TE Bob Trumpy. Her mom called to say she ended up in purple but not the purple we hoped for
I don't think we formally offered - offered by PL schools, PSU, Ivies, Hawaii and a few others

If HC's staff never extended an offer, how did the staff "lose" her?

72, did you inform GC staff she was interested in HC?

Yes, they said they were following her. I think she is a solid player, perhaps better at Volleyball. Could have been recruited by others because of her size- not sure as I only saw her on tape.
RG318 is right and I will edit my comment re “lost”

No question I would have liked Ms. Trumpy playing for HC considerably more than I liked her grandfather as an analyst.
Then again, someone who caught someone's eye more as a volleyball player than a basketball player would be considered a "project". HC needs a big to step in and do the job now, not later.

I don't disagree with you in principle, and HC may already have one in the commits for '22 - Meg Cahalan. Current Frosh Lindsey Berger has a pretty good resume and hopefully she will be able to give some meaningful minutes this season. That said, with potentially 4 more scholarships available for '22 ( Cahalan & Flanagan already committed, 4 seniors this year, & 2 unfilled holdover schollies ) I wouldn't mind a flyer on a Big. I think it's fair to said Bigs are pretty notorious for needing a season or two to develop on the low/mid major level. Conditioning & skills are often an issue. Although undersized, I think Allen showed herself to be very capable until she was injured last season, hopefully we get a healthy season out of everyone this year.

Sounds a wee bit biased. And I hope "Tiny" is a woman as this could easily be construed as sexist: "blessed with a body from the heavens.."

I always worry about "G/F"s in high school that end up as "F"s in college. Good players but an undersized team is better than the opposite; but, still, it's a problem.

From the picture, surprised you would project her in a 2 or 3 position - can't think of the last 6'1" shooting guard (2) in recent history - unless we have two skilled bigs at 6'2" or taller on the floor, I would slot her as a strong forward (4 position) - if you click on Tiny's twitter, you'll find more HC pics including all of the Jersey recruits together

Currently have 2 wings - Davis 6' & Petro 6''1. Munt who may also be a 2/3 is 5'11/ 6' & Hurber is 5'10 ish I suspect next year, Berger 6'2 & Cahalan 6'3 will split time at the 5 & Allen, backed up by some combination of Munt, Donnelly & hopefully another recruited big will spend time at the 4. I'm sure one of them will move to the 4, if just to get on the court. Or maybe we will see a lot more 4 guard offense. At least the wings will all have good size in '22. So hard to tell her actual size as Magarity & Fitz are both 6'1, Fogarty 6'2 seem appreciably taller.

Is Demski gone (she was listed as a junior last year) or just (no arguing this really) considered damaged goods that will keep her off the court most of the time? Tough to play two out of Avery, McCormack, Cross & Flaherty w/o having two big people on the court to make up for that.

Demski still here, hopefully she will be able to contribute some quality mins. I was commenting more on the lineup for the '22 season ( should have left Petro out of the discussion as she graduates this year also). As to this upcoming season, if Berger is not ready to contribute 15+ minutes and Demski 10+, they are going to be very small upfront as both Oluchi & Allen are only 5'11. That lack of size really hurt against BU.

I can't wait for the College of the Holy Cross University vs Boston College University game the next time it's scheduled. Might as well go with the Jersey Shore as the third fourth and fifth quality recruit might be easier to get if others have paved the way and give a good report back in the local area.
However, the top three players in program history: Levin, O'Brien and Manis have all come from Mass.
