It will be VERY interesting how BC and Syracuse are going to get around the quarantine rules for travel both to them and when they leave. They will likely get a special exemption but still.

Play road games at neutral sites in states that aren't red flagged? How is that going to work for a team like Miami (FL) women's soccer and volleyball which is right in the middle of an outbreak area right now? This plan isn't just football. Does that work to go to Jersey to play Miami for BC and Syracuse since Miami is coming from a red flagged area?

Planning to play is not actually playing. I'll believe it when I see it.

Can't speak for other states, but one of the quarantine exemptions for travel to and from Massachusetts is a documented negative test within 72 hours of arrival which theoretically all of the visiting players and coaches should be able to produce

We will see!

They could always move the games to Florida and be declared an essential business like the WWE, which hasn't missed an episode of its seven hours a week schedules on TV (five hours a week on USA Network, two hours on Fox) since March.

When will the cancelled 2020 HC-BC game be rescheduled? The 12th of never?

When will the cancelled 2020 HC-BC game be rescheduled? The 12th of never? Next scheduled game is 2023. I would imagine we will play them at least one more time before 2030. Couple of interesting FBS-FCS matchups this year that will always be what-ifs. Many Princeton alum are convinced they were going to get a win at West Point this year.

Princeton vs. Army would be the "Special Advantage in Admissions/Financial Aid/Roster size" Bowl game.🙂

If I was at HC right now, I would be weighing walking on to an ACC or SEC school (regardless if I was going to play). I wonder how many kids were going to lose if the majority of FBS plays this year.
We all know that the Ivy League and Patriot League will be the most cautious with COVID.

Since, IMO, the majority of FBS school will not play this fall, that should be a very low number.

Even if its desired by Dobbs, what makes you think BC is interested?

If you think that is insanity then there is a high probability you have never played college sports. If I were in Dobbs' shoes in this current climate, I would have been planning my exit strategy the minute the Patriot League cancelled the season. .

You could always walk on and if doesn't materialize, drop out. In all honesty, I would rather be working on a vocation than attending HC with no football in the fall. I don't think people on this board understand how important the major sports are to the overall experience at HC.

From afar, it seems that HC students are nowhere as "into" the football or hoop teams as they were in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Multiple reasons for this it seems: coed since '72, a lot of student-athletes at HC in the PL-era are "into" their own sport but not attending others, seems like the student demographics have shifted somewhat in the last 25 or so years i.e. students that are non-varsity athletes at HC aren't into following sports as much as they were 30, 40 years ago etc etc Could be all wet on this but this is what I've observed at Fitton and Hart for the last 25 years or so mostly.

I am pretty sure all the major sport participants would not be at Holy Cross without the chance to play their sport.
