Hope all are safe and doing okay. Don’t think power is going to be fully restored in Central CT for a while. Tons of downed trees and power lines. Gas stations near me all out of gas as people fill up their cars and gas cans to run their generators.

Safe in Hartsdale, near White Plains, NY-- but tons of branches and limbs and trees down around the area. Parents are out of service in Yonkers with a massive tree blocking their dead-end street and pulling down power lines.

Cape, Islands, Eastern Mass. all did ok. Normally storms like that stick along the coast longer than this one did.
(edit). Had a huge branch snap off, didn't see it until a couple hours ago. Another branch was propping it up, lucky the lawn guys came and went.

We had a couple of major blackouts a decade ago so I finally installed a whole-house generator and, of course, our area has lost power only a few times since and for no longer than an hour It does provide great peace of mind, though.

Speaking for my immediate area not too bad here SE of Worcester. We only lost power for about 4 1/2 hours (Tuesday - 7 to 11:30pm). Lots of smaller tree limbs down but several large trees and a couple transformers blew in town. Most of the town was restored in that 4 1/2 hour time frame. Just saw National Grid reconnecting a house not far from me, so I think they must be down to individual houses. We got very little rain, mostly wind. My wind gauge registered gusts up to 37 mph, not very high considering some of the damage, sure other areas were higher. We sat out on the deck Tuesday night around 8pm as the storm was edging away. Should have taken a picture as there was a very distinct demarcation line looking SW to W to NW of the storm clouds and blue sky! Hope everyone's power is back on!

I have power at the office but not at home. Wish it was the other way around. I can work from home but can't live at the office.

Got power back this AM and the internet/phone came back a few minutes ago. Our town looked like a war zone with so many old trees destroyed (ands doing numbers on homes and cars under them). Fortunately only "things" and no loss of life (that I know of) here in North Jersey. With clearing and repairs in so many places, detours are springing up like mushrooms...and rain is in tomorrow's forecast. I hope you are all safe and healthy!

Lost power Tuesday in Woodlawn section if the Bronx. ETA Sunday night. Stayed home in dark Tuesday night, spent last night and tonight in Marriott Upper East Side.
Thankfully lost no trees on my property. Others in neighborhood not so lucky.

Power out, generator on, no end in sight as many downed trees and wires haven't been touched. I figure the Utility has to attend to the densely populated areas first because the same man hours can restore power to more customers there than in a lightly populated area.
Called Verizon and they gave me more mobile data for free since Wi-Fi is down. I assume they would do that for any customer if that helps anyone.

We got power back about an hour ago. Small miracle as we are typically the last people in my town to get it back after a big outage.
