Wow! Anyone else shocked (and thoroughly impressed) that that line went down with 1 brush/sponge full of paint and most of the line in 1 continuous stroke? Well done.

One trip and it would be all over. That is a steady hand.

I'm surprised the brush held that much paint, and no tape or template was used.
You'd find me stumbling over my own two feet if I tried doing that.

It was said of President Ford that he couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. I won't even attempt walking backwards and painting a straight line at the same time.

A bad rap on Gerry who was, IIRC, an All-American football player at Michigan.
When he stumbled a few stairs coming off Air Force One, he was ridiculed. Only later some came to his defense and said had he not in fact been so athletic, he would not have been able to recover and would have fallen the entire jetway.

Saturday Night Live never seemed to tire of making him the brunt of jokes (with Chevy Chase playing the President).

Karma paid back Chevy Chase for ridiculing President Ford's supposed clumsiness on SNL. Chevy ended up with chronic injuries from all his pratfalls.

Not sure why they even put down the ice. Season will probably be cancelled.

Maybe HC got a payroll protection loan from the Cares Act and has to keep staff busy. P.P.?

Maybe HC got a payroll protection loan from the Cares Act and has to keep staff busy. P.P.? No. The ice is probably down early because most/all of the players haven't been on skates for 5+ months, so even if they just skate, without practicing, that will be a boon to conditioning. I suspect the skating will be socially distanced, no contact, at least initially.

There are 11 year olds here in New England that have been traveling and playing tournaments most of the summer. Ice is always down in mid August as this is when the teams always return and start practicing.

They haven't skated if rinks, like gyms, are closed. There was an article in the Globe about club teams from NY playing in a tournament being held in CT, where such a tournament was allowed. Kids from MA joined a NY team so they could play in the tournament. Guess what; kids came down with COVID after playing in the tournament, and the youth teams are under fire from state health officials. www.bostonglobe.com/2020/08/14/sports/mass-teen-who-played-hockey-out-state-contracts-covid-19/

Reality is the rinks are open in NH, RI CT. Kids heading all over for tournaments. Anyone who knows anyone playing even semi serious hockey knows that if there’s ice anywhere they will find it.

Give it up Freak.
Every kid from HC doesn't live in a state or province where all is/was shut down. Some rinks have been open in MA for open for some time, and rinks in NH have been getting a ton of play (including camps) over the summer.

I know many college hockey players were doing individual workouts at the rink downtown all summer if they were in town.
