Halfway through the second quarter, Harvard has 19 first downs and 306 yards of offense, and up 21-7. GU scored on a 76 yard pass play.

Harvard had 535 yards of total offense versus 266 for Georgetown but won only 31-17 as Harvard's backup QB's threw three interceptions. Gtown had a 74 yard td run with 2 minutes to play--likely against Harvard backups.

The score does not reflect how lopsided this game was, but I am withholding any judgement on Georgetown until I see how HC shapes up against Harvard. One point was that the Hoyas clearly did not quit in a game where that could have been an easy thing to do.

rgs- You're not under an illusion that we're gonna beat Harvard, are you?

rgs- You're not under an illusion that we're gonna beat Harvard, are you? Not really, but stranger things have happened. It is not easy for me to always pick HC's opponent (while ignoring all other games) as one person seems to do each week on CROSSPORTS.

I do that because I don't follow non-HC teams close enough.

Embarrassed by my commentary/predictions as Fordham and Colgate managed to lose today...

I do that because I don't follow non-HC teams close enough. Take a guess...after all this is supposed to be fun and wrong answers hurt no one. Plus, your gut might be right.

I don't see this as a random lottery.

It isn't any kind of lottery so that is a normal (if strange) reaction.
