I’ve been scouting out a lot of well hidden locations from which one can see the various high school soccer fields in our area. I will send you a free copy of my “Crazy Parents Guide to Watching HS Soccer in CT in 2020.” In the meantime, they are still allowing fans in our District LL tourney if you’re desperate. We’re home at 7:00 tonight under the lights in an elimination game.

Now that was a fun morning read. Especially the part where heading the ball, corner kicks, and throw-ins are outlawed. Players wear masks. All physical contact banned except “A player is allowed to make unintentional contact with an opposing team member if the player is attempting to make ‘foot to ball’ contact and the resulting contact with the opposing team member is below the torso, fleeting and minor in nature.”
I'd suggest another minor change to the 'soccer' rules for this organization would be to allow (masked) players to grab the ball with their (gloved?) hands, sprint directly down the field, and dunk it over the opposing goalie (without contacting him/her above or below the torso, of course).

Long Island's Catholic schools (CHSAA) are following NY state guidelines and returning to fall athletics September 21. As noted above in the thread, Football and Girls Volleyball and Cheerleading are exceptions in that they may start practicing on that date but there is no competition start date.
Nassau County high school public school kids will spend all day indoors at school but will not have school sports this fall...on the bright side they can go to Suffolk or their local Nassau Catholic school (Chaminade, etc.) to observe the outdoor athletic practices/competitions (from a distance, of course). And yes, Nassau parents are going bananas.
